Sachin Sonawane

Sachin’s love for cameras since his younger days led him to study Masters in Communication after completing his bachelor’s in chemistry. He specialized in video production and started working as a cameraman for a reputed television channel. However, Sachin’s real passion was  films, and in order to pursue that and also fine tune and enhance his skills he decide to join the cinematography course at The Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII). After his graduation from FTII in 2008, he worked with eminent cinematographers from the Indian film industry for about two years. Since last four years, Sachin has been working as an independent Director of Photography and has several corporate films, documentaries, ad films and short films in his repertoire.

Chandar Kumar

Chandar been associated with BVSP since its inception and has been a pillar since then. He began his career as a photographer with DNA in Mumbai, worked as a chief photographer for Gulfimages in Dubai, and returned to People magazine as a senior photographer and soon went on to become the Assistant Photo Editor.

He recognises that the BVSP approach of combining quality education with important soft skills and imparting this learning in an engaging, fun-filled atmosphere brings out the best in both students and faculty and lets everyone hone their skills even more.

Mayuresh Moghe

Mayuresh earned his MFA in Art Studio from University of Kentucky, USA where he majored in photography, but his art practice constitutes a cross disciplinary approach, which results in blending of photography with other art forms like painting, installation, sculpture and sound.

His research interests revolve around questioning the duality of the photograph as an image and an art object, exploring the materiality of photography, and challenging the credibility of a photograph as a piece of information. His photographic practice ranges from the historical alternative processes to digital photography and digital imaging through ‘scanograms’. Mayuresh has exhibited his work in solo and group shows in India as well as in USA and has served in the field of education in photography since 2006.

Mayuresh teaches the history of photography, the visual language of photography and visual communication through photography along with enabling the students to look at photography as a contemporary art form.

Madhusudan Tawde

After working in a nationalised bank for over 2 decades, Madhusudan took up voluntary retirement to pursue his passion for photography and completed the Photography Course from J. J. School of Art in Mumbai.

In his capacity as Chief Photographer, Madhusudan has travelled the world with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Star Cruises & Thomson Cruises. A member of the International Photo Stock Agency DINODIA, he has been contributing images for over 20 years on travel, landscapes, and historical monuments around the world.

His images have appeared in several calendars, corporate magazines and ads and have also been exhibited in national photography competitions, winning several awards.

Madhusudan teaches travel & pictorial photography and documentation, archiving & image management, and post-production & printing techniques at BVSP.

Dilip Ghag

Dilip brings a rich experience of over 20 years in professional studio management including more than 5 years of assisting ace photographer Atul Kasbekar.

Dilip is the Studio In-Charge and also teaches the handling and gripping of equipment at BVSP.
